About

Cedar Crest College

Since its founding in 1867, Cedar Crest College has taken a bold approach to education – creating a college and a curriculum designed for women who want to achieve at the highest levels. Recognizing the multi-dimensional nature of students, Cedar Crest College is dedicated to the education of the next generation of women leaders by preparing the whole student for life in the global community.

Marcia Lynn Walsh Alumnae Museum

Located in Curtis Hall, the museum opened its doors for the first time for a Reunion in May of 1992 in conjunction with the College’s 125th anniversary. It was founded by Marcia Lynn Walsh ’51 to preserve the history of Cedar Crest College and to foster an appreciation of the history of women.

The Exhibit

This exhibit focuses on life for women during World War II and the years immediately after with artifacts carefully curated to tell the story of Cedar Crest College students.
